Project: Piam
Year: 2026 Visual identity and art direction for a jewellery project rooted in observation and discovery. Each piece begins with a found material, stone, shell, fragment, whose form already contains meaning. Rather than shaping matter, the process consists of recognising it.


Information:
Piam is a jewellery project developed from the act of observation and the intuitive gesture of collecting, rooted in a practice that moves between landscape and object. The project takes its name from Amparo, the artist behind it, whose process begins by walking, searching and recognising value in natural materials found across different places. Stones, shells and fragments gathered over time become the starting point of each piece, shaping a body of work where origin, texture and form converge, and where the boundary between raw material and finished object remains intentionally blurred.

Through material exploration, craft and visual translation, Piam reflects on the notion of the found object as both process and meaning: an approach where the jewel is not imposed onto matter, but discovered within it. The visual language emphasises irregularity, fragmentation and organic construction, allowing form to emerge from what already exists rather than being predefined. Conceived as a system that moves between identity and object, the project explores how design can frame intuition, constructing a visual narrative where nature, memory and gesture redefine the way value, authorship and creation are understood.
